Getting Rich Kids To Tighten Their Belts

(Metro News) Gordon Ramsay and David Beckham are among the stars who agree with Kirstie Allsopp that their kids should slum it back in cattle class.

Ramsay, who is worth an estimated £30million, has admitted he would rather spend the money on other luxuries than have his children always turn left on boarding.

Defending his decision in the past the chef — whose wife Tana gave birth to their fifth child, Oscar, this year — said: ‘They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that.

‘I have got to keep it real with the kids. It is my wife and I’s choice to discipline them and to keep them real.’

Ramsay, 52, added: ‘I like to think about what you can do with the money when you land, rather than paying out thousands of dollars for eight, nine, ten-year-olds to sit in first-class.’

His friend David Beckham, 44, also has his four kids fly coach, despite his family’s £1billion fortune.

Eldest son Brooklyn, 20, was filmed sleeping and going to the toilet by his fellow passengers in economy during an 11-hour flight from California’s Coachella festival in April.

Meanwhile Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds admits he can’t think of anything worse than sitting on a plane with a toddler.

The 42-year-old, who is expecting his third child with actress wife Blake Lively, says: ‘I would rather drink a piping-hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children.’
